A look back at our new SUITE10 launch-event

On Tuesday October 29, HOTEL10 proudly inaugurated its newest project, SUITE10. After presenting SUITE 2116 as a tribute to Dédé Fortin, the idea of designing a new thematic suite that would be part of our efforts to tell Montreal history and its particularities, was self-evident. It took a little more than a year before SUITE10 was inaugurated as a tribute to sport legends, to the number 10 (which is so iconic to HOTEL10 and Group Tidan, owner of the establishment). Also, it should be said that all manners of sports are held in high regards in the eyes of Montrealers. True to those themes, this inaugural event was rich in emotions.

SUITE10 can accommodate up to 40 people to watch a sports match

SUITE10 is a new space that highlights twenty or so athletes who have made history in sports: Montreal Canadiens Guy Lafleur, Olympic gymnast Nadia Comaneci, André Dawson of the Montreal Expos and soccer player Diego Maradona, are just a few examples of the personalities highlighted in this suite. SUITE10 is either a meeting place to watch your favourite sports matches among friends and a suite dedicated to meetings & events (SUITE10 can easily accommodate up to 40 guests) or a special event. For example, bachelor/ette parties or just an intimate evening for sports lovers (a room with a king-size bed compliments the suite offer, where you will also find: a huge kitchen counter, a complete kitchenette, oversized couch and TV and two lounges).

Conceptualized by MU Architecture and built by Rempart Construction, the venue offers an immersive experience, with thirteen art works by artist and multidisciplinary creator Adlan Kaezar adorning the walls. An original way to live and to relive some of the most historical moments that have marked generations through sport. An artistic approach that is reminiscent of, among others, murals found in various places in the hotel proper.

A festive 5 to 7 allowed guests to visit SUITE10 first hand in addition to enjoying a thematic “sports” evening: a menu inspired by “hockey nights” was conceived by HOTEL10 privileged food and drink partner, Agnus Dei Traiteur. Youppi and Jimmy Bourgoin were some of the special guests of the evening. A “skating rink” and some benches of the former Forum installed in Espace Godin allowed the guests to have fun while taking hilarious photos.

Finally, the three stars of the match were given to the partners who made this project a reality: MU Architecture, Rempart Construction and Adlan Kaezar. Now we can not wait to welcome you at SUITE10! See you soon.
